About the Collection

Virtually every aspect of Arkansas history is represented in the UALR and Butler Center collections available in the ASI, through books, periodicals, manuscripts, microfilmed administrative and military records, and digital resources. Staff members can assist researchers in using indexes to locate resources for vast numbers of Arkansas places and events.

Visitors whose interests go beyond Arkansas have access to online databases, such as Ancestry.com and Heritage Quest, and to a large browsable collection of history and genealogy volumes for all of the United States.

Staff assistance is available to history researchers and genealogists at all levels of study.
